It just keeps getting more and more weird, people. This story just rolled across my desk and it happened right in my own neck of the woods. It’s about a woman who is married to a man and also married to a woman. Turns out she forgot to finalize her divorce with the man before she married the woman…. oops. Click here for the news story.
Mark my words… we ain’t seen nothing yet. When we redefine what marriage is there will be many bizarre entanglements we’ll find ourselves attempting to sort out. If you’ve seen my previous film, Rebellion of Thought, you know some of the consequences of post-modern thinking…. like If marriage is no longer between just one man and one woman, why should we care if this woman is simultaneously involved in two marriages? Shouldn’t we just let her live her life as she sees fit? Why charge her with “Bigamy”? That’s such an old word that really bears no meaning today. What’s right for me may not be right for her. etc., etc.
